WEST COUNTY FORUM

Thursday, October 8

The West County Forum is excited to have leadership from AC Transit and BART present to us about the Regional Transportation Measure (RTM). RTM will be on the ballot in the upcoming November election, so this is a very timely topic. As usual, we can all look forward to an informative and interesting Forum.

In September, we had a great panel of candidates from West County. All candidates for the respective offices were invited, and we had a good turnout to include two candidates for Pinole city council, all four candidates for San Pablo city council, and one of the candidates for Contra Costa College District Ward 1. It was a great opportunity to hear perspectives from these local candidates.

In August, we heard from Fiona Ma, CA Treasurer and candidate for CA Lieutenant Governor. She shared her vast experience including being a CPA, and on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, CA State Assembly, and the CA Board of Equalization. Not only was her resume impressive, but Treasurer Ma proved to have a great sense of humor. She had some very witty remarks which made it a very engaging Forum indeed.
